Refeeds.
What?
The practice of refeeding to increase metabolism speed and increase energy, better mood, sleep, and increase dietary adherence.
Why?
To support health and decrease stress throughout dietary phases.
When?
Over time the metabolism slows down, why? Because the human body adapts to its change. In this instance, lower energy (calories) in tapered calorie reduction. Most people in a calorie deficit can require a refreshing every 2 weeks, this can differ though because every client is an anatomical and physiological case study of one.
How?
As you get leaner week by week, as you reduce calories week by week and as you stay in a reduction of calories than overtime energy and metabolism
levels become dormant. A change in the hormones is often happening.
Introducing a window of food where you can hit a calorie surplus works at a great advantage to the human frame, body composition and physique development goals.
They must though be introduced strategically though to avoid unnecessary sabotage of a plan.
